Four Reservation Times with Four Local Musicians!

The day is divided into four 2.5 hour sessions. This assures a place for everyone to sit. Watch artists paint the horses, create a painted pony poster, and enjoy a meal while listening to some of the area's most talented musicians.

About the Equine Art Extravaganza (EAE)

We LOVE our Dunrovin Horses!

Because of their reliability, only Dunrovin Ranch horses are used for the EAE. Artists use only nontoxic materials and methods of application approved by the ranch. Horses are kept in the shade, have continual access to hay, and are given periodic water and exercise breaks. While no one can talk for a horses, they do seem to enjoy the attention!

A Dunrovin Wrangler Got Us Started

While attending the University of Montana, Kyla Rose TwoBulls worked at Dunrovin Ranch and introduced everyone to the Lakota Sioux tradition of painting and honoring horses. She provided the inspiration to Dunrovin to adopt the activity as a way to express our gratitude for the special bond that horses have with humans.

Many Experiments Paved the Way

Before launching the EAE, Dunrovin took tiny steps to test each aspect of the art form. We wanted to be certain of our horses' well being,  of our ability to attract artists who could contribute high quality art and create visually enticing images, and of ability to host a unique event that was safe, engaging, and bridged the digital divide between onsite and online.
